Caution: This environmental surf film will make you want to quit your job and head south for the rest of your life. The Malloy Brothers [same folks that brought us Thicker Than Water, Shelter, Broke Down Melody, blah blah blah] have put out a truly remarkable piece of art with 180 Degrees South. It follows Jeff Johnson as he retraces the 1968 journey of adventurists Yvon Chouinard and Doug Tompkins to Patagonia, Chile. Add some epic surf scenes in Chile and Easter Island, shipwrecks, and amazing rock climbs and scenery, and you get an awesome story of how two men have set out to protect some of the most pristine wildlife in the entire world. Inspiring, original, and a killer soundtrack, we here at the shop think everyone needs to see this film. Seriously.
